Bethesda Help, Inc. is a community-based, all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1968 to support neighbors in need.
We provide critical safety net services - food assistance and limited financial assistance - to those in need who reside within our service area, which includes Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Kensington and parts of Potomac, Silver Spring, and Wheaton. Click here to view our service area.
Volunteers and financial donors make it possible to fulfill our mission of helping neighbors in need. Guided by a Board of Directors, daily operations are carried out by our Management Team and supported by the Operations Team. Our teams are all volunteers, and other than our food pantry, there is no physical location. Volunteers either work from their home or office when screening client calls, or from their vehicle when delivering food.
